Cyprus:

With 340 days of sunshine a year make Cyprus a perfect place for winter sun travels. Cyprus is the warmest island in the Mediterranean.

If you are a nature lover, happy to spend your days outdoors, Cyprus is a wonderful holiday destination during winter, as the island is transformed into lush, green and fertile paradise.

There are numerous nature parks on the island, most of which offer outstanding camping amenities. A sunny camping holiday is wonderful way to spend a relaxing family holiday in Cyprus, The Troodos National Forest Park is the largest on the island and is home to the largest number of plant life in Cyprus.

Limassol, situated on the southern coast, enjoys a pleasant winter climate. On a sunny day the beaches are peaceful yet crowded. The city of Limassol has many  fascinating historical attractions, with the main tourist attraction being the Lemesos medieval castle, built in the 14th century on the remains of a Byzantine castle.

Beautiful Paphos is one of the most popular destinations in Cyprus, and not just for its stunning beaches. The Paphos castle makes a beautiful, dramatic site, and the whole town has been designated a UNESCO World Heritage site.

Mexico:

Mexico’s sunny climate and abundance of resorts in all price ranges make it a great place to treat yourself to the warm winter sun holiday. Mexico’s weather is not uniformly hot, however, and wintertime can see some chilly temperatures in some areas. As a general rule, the weather gets warmer the farther south you go.

Cancun and the coast to the south have the ideal weather to hit the beach. The waters of the Caribbean are warm year-round, so snorkeling is an option even in winter, and the eco-parks in the area offer options activities and fun for the whole family. You can take a glass-bottom boat to the Cancun Underwater Museum, or take a bus to Tulum to tour the Mayan ruins. There are also All-inclusive packages that include flights, meals and a variety of activities, such as windsurfing and canoeing.

Another option, for a more relaxing holiday, would be the Kinan Spa at the Maroma Mayan Riviera in Quintana Roo, not too far away from Cancun. Many of the unique spa treatments there draw on Mayan traditions, such as the use of special herbs.

When winter comes to the Northern Hemisphere, things heat up In Australia.

The New South Wales area offers endless unspoilt beaches as well as breathtaking natural treasures and one of the world’s most famous and vibrant cities.

Sydney makes a wonderful location for a winter holiday. It has dozens of beautiful beaches, easily accessible from the centre of the city. The high number of beaches make it so that there is everything from secluded harbour beaches to crowded and lively ones. New Year’s time is an especially good period to visit Sydney, as hundreds of thousands of people from around the world flock to Sydney for the celebrations, with the firework display being one of the most beautiful and famous in the world.

While you visit Sydney, you can take a day trip to the Blue Mountain region, home to densely forested peaks, lush gardens and dozens of hiking trails.The region with more than it’s fair share of natural beauty was an obvious choice for UNESCO World Heritage status. Although it’s possible to visit on a day trip from Sydney, it is possible and recommended that you stay at least one night in the area.
