We’ve had our summer, we’ve had our Labor Day weekend, and now it’s time to get back to life and guess what? It’s fall!
We’ve survived another summer!
Now it’s time to look forward to those cuddly and cozy fall and winter months as the temperature starts to drop. Here’s how you can prepare:
Place blankets around the house – especially on sofas. This will make it easier to grab when you get a little chilly. It’s always great to cuddle up on the sofa with a soft blanket.
When the sun goes down, light some candles to get the atmosphere up. You don’t need to over-do it, just a few will suffice. Where you place them depends on your preferences. They can be in the living room, on the dining room table, in the bathroom (for use while you have a nice relaxing soak), or in the bedroom.
Days can still be warm but in the afternoon and evening it can get cooler. If you don’t want to carry around a jacket all day then just keep a lightweight scarf in your bag to whip out when your neck is feeling cold.
A ‘Cool’ Jacket
As it gets colder you will be needing a jacket. There are many different jackets – some are lightweight and cool, and others are heavy and warm. Depending on how quickly the temperature drops where you live, you may want to get a jacket that is not too thick, and not too thin.
These boots are the fall ‘must-have’. They’ll keep your feet a little warmer than flat shoes and yet they aren’t full boots which will leave your feet sweating as it is not yet cold enough for them. I highly suggest you get a pair! They’re useful for spring too so you get twice the amount of wear out of them than sandals or tall boots.
