It’s nearly 1 month until Halloween and we’re starting to talk Halloween costumes here at Stuccu. Halloween allows an opportunity to get quirky and show people the side of yourself that you usually keep hidden. It’s fun to decide what to dress up as and figure out how to pull it off perfectly. I love seeing how everyone creates their costumes, as well as seeing what everyone chooses to dress up as. A lot can be decided about your personality based on what you dress up as.
We’ve found the top 10 Halloween costumes of 2016 to make deciding what to dress up as a little easier.
The latest film staring Batman, Batman v Superman: The Dawn of Justice, was released earlier this year, making it a popular choice for Halloween costumes.
2. Wonder Woman
Wonder Woman made her first appearance in the DC Comics back in 1941. And she recently made her first film appearance in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. She is also set to have her own live-action film released in 2017.
3. The Joker
Apart from being Batman’s nemesis, The Joker appears in the ‘Suicide Squad’– a recently released superhero film about imprisoned supervillians being recruited to perform dangerous black ops missions.
4. Harley Quinn
This supervillain made her live-action film debut in the ‘Suicide Squad‘. She’s crazy and witty but people love her. An accomplice and frequent lover of The Joker, the 2 together would make a great couple costume.
Deadpool is an American superhero film released in 2016. It is based on the Deadpool character that appears in Marvel comics. The film is the 8th installment of the X-Men film series. The film became the highest-grossing R-rated film of all time and the most popular X-Men film.
The already classic Ghostbusters film from 1984 recently had a modern makeover with women taking over the role of the Ghostbusters.
7. Pikachu (Pokémon)
Based on the recent release of Pokémon Go (an augmented reality game that has captured the world), Pikachu is one of this year’s most popular Halloween costumes.
The Star Wars franchise began back in 1977 and the franchise shows no signs of slowing. In 2015 Star Wars: The Force Awakens released and introduced many new characters including the popular character ‘Rey’.
